Dear Readers,

When I started teaching... I started reading. I read all the 6-8 grade literature and then more. I now LOVE reading and ALWAY have a book on my dresser. Reading lets my mind wonder into a new world without diapers and crying babies. But reading is more fun when you share. For this blog I will write about the GOOD books I read. I will write about books that are worthy of reading and ones I truly recommend. Enjoy your readings.

The Story of My Life by Hellon Keller

I am in wow of this woman.  She accomplished much and at such a young age.  I used to think of Helen Keller as a spoiled-rich-girl who had to be tamed by Anne.  Now I realize that she was a determined-bright-spiritual-spirited young woman who loved the life she was given.
Helen taught herself to talk, read braille, speak German and Latin, appreciate art, and love books.  She reminded me that I have 5 senses.  She used only 3, and learned to love life.  We all take our eyes and ears for grated.  I have a new respect for anyone who is blind or deaf.
