Dear Readers,
When I started teaching... I started reading. I read all the 6-8 grade literature and then more. I now LOVE reading and ALWAY have a book on my dresser. Reading lets my mind wonder into a new world without diapers and crying babies. But reading is more fun when you share. For this blog I will write about the GOOD books I read. I will write about books that are worthy of reading and ones I truly recommend. Enjoy your readings.

Wonder by R.J Palacio
I rented this book because my new book club read it last year. I normally don't like reading youth books, but this one really impacted me. It was written from the point of view from a number of people who all befriended Jonny. Jonny was a child born with a face deformity. His disability created lots of trials in his life. But I found it most interesting to see how others reacted to him. In the end he does make a difference and changes his image about himself. A very compelling book .
